Human-centric leadership for high-hazard operations

Where complexity meets reality,
people make the difference.

We connect people, integrate systems and strengthen the leadership capability through which safety, operational performance and resilience improve together.

Three ways to work together

Begin with the challenge you need to move.

Human-centric leadership in operational reality

Where good intentions meet real work.

INTENTPEOPLESYSTEMSWORK
Senior leader

“We agreed the strategy. It is not reaching the floor.”

The intent is clear, but functions pull in different directions and the operational layer is left to translate competing demands.

Operational leader

“Every function sends me a priority. My people are exhausted.”

Production, safety, cost and change all land on the same team. Everything matters, yet the most critical work risks receiving less attention.

Technical leaderEHS, process safety or other expertise

“I know what needs to change. I cannot get it heard, funded or owned.”

The analysis is solid. The decision keeps being deferred because technical quality alone does not create organisational movement.

These are not isolated safety problems. They show how decisions, leadership and work connect across the organisation. That is where Be Human Be Safe begins.

Advisory & transformation · made real

Move from separate initiatives to one workable direction.

We help executive and operational teams clarify what matters, connect functional systems with operational reality and build ownership for change that must hold under pressure.

The work can begin with a strategic diagnosis, a leadership alignment challenge or an operating model that is no longer producing the intended result. Together, we translate ambition into decisions, relationships and routines people can carry into the work.

“Marieke demonstrated outstanding change-management skills and was able to steer, energise and influence at all levels of the organisation.”Andy Ray · VP Chemicals Europe, Global Excellence

Leaders learning together in a facilitated session

Leadership development · made real

Develop capability around the work leaders actually carry.

Programmes, coaching and facilitated learning use live organisational challenges. Leaders leave with clearer judgement, stronger influence and practical ways to engage people in safety and change.

Rather than separating development from performance, leaders practise with the proposals, conversations and competing priorities already on their desks. That makes learning immediately useful and strengthens the organisation’s ability to lead the work independently.

“Marieke invests time in understanding your needs and provides valuable guidance that helps you move forward.”Pinar Özyilmaz · Global Head of HSE&S

Marieke facilitating a leadership conversation

Speaking & workshops · made real

Conversations people recognise, remember and use.

Keynotes, leadership sessions and operational practice labs turn familiar tensions into honest dialogue and practical action, from conferences to in-company safety days.

Every session is grounded in the realities of high-hazard work and shaped for the people in the room. Participants do more than listen: they recognise their own patterns, test a different response and leave with language they can use afterwards.

“Marieke brings the practical and human side of safety to life in a way people recognise and remember.”Joop Hermans · Conference producer

The Be Human Be Safe approach

Four building blocks. One connected system.

The work starts with your situation, not a standard programme. Be Human Be Safe draws from decades of operational and executive experience and a wide range of leadership, organisational-change, human-factors and safety methods. Four practical building blocks bring those perspectives together. Each can solve a specific challenge; combined, they connect influence, trust, courageous leadership and change the organisation can sustain.
